Attention all wrestlers:
WRESTLERS in GRADES 7-12:
The athletic trainer will be doing weight certifications on Tuesday (10/29) and Wednesday (10/30) from 3-4pm in the middle school nurse’s office. If you have not been certified, please plan on attending one of these dates. Weight certification is mandatory to be permitted to wrestle. Please make sure you are hydrated for the test.
Midd-West volleyball has qualified for Districts as the 4th seed. The team will open up District play on Saturday, October 26th at 5:00 pm at Williamsport High School. They will take on Shamokin, the #1 seed. Good luck ladies! Tickets must be purchased online at the site below:

Congratulations to the Midd-West field hockey team who defeated Central Columbia last evening 1-0 to move on to the semi-finals. Kinzee Batdorf scored the game winner and the defense stood tall to earn the victory. The team will play on Monday at 5:30 pm at Shikellamy HS against Bloomsburg. Yesterday in cross-country action, your Mustangs traveled to Bloomsburg University for the District 4 championships. In the girls 2A race, Ashlyn Hoffman finished 30th out of 101 runners with a time of 22:07.3. Alannah Hoover had a PR in her final race of her cross-country career and finsihed 60th with a time of 24:34.3. Asia Seibel ran a great race, finishing 66th. In the boys 2A race, Ben Hummel finished 2nd out or a field of 123 with a PR. He broke 16 minutes and finished with a time of 15:59.4. Ben will represent Midd-West at States next Saturday! Ian Hall finished with his fastest time on the Bloom course with a time of 19:15.8. Ben DeLong and Lane Yount also ran and represented Midd-West well. Congratulations to all runners on a great season. Best of luck to Ben Hummel as he competes in the state championships in Hershey next week.

Congratulations to cross country runner, Ben Hummel for placing 2nd at the PHAC League championships Saturday, Oct. 12th at Shikellamy High School. He ran a time of 16:05.5 Good luck to all of the XC runners as they compete at Districts Thursday morning at Bloomsburg University!

Boys 5th/6th grade basketball sign-ups will be on Tuesday, Nov. 5th, in the Midd-West Middle School Lobby from 4:30PM to 6PM. Both elementary schools and the middle school have sign-up information if interested.

Attention all 7th and 8th grade girls basketball players, practice will start on Tuesday, October 15th from 3:30-5:30 pm in the middle school gym. Please make sure you have your PIAA physical complete. If you already participated in a fall sport (JH softball or cross country), you will need to have a recertification form completed. This is section 7 and can be found in your healthy roster documents. You will need to click on the plus sign to add a document and then choose the section 7 recertification form from the drop down menu.

Congratulations to Abby Benner, who broke the MW field hockey scoring record on Oct. 2nd, she now has 70 career goals. The previous record was 69 goals by Brenna Brown. Congrats Abby and team on this accomplishment!

Congratulations to Ben Hummel for finishing 1st out of 257 runners at the NEPA Invite held at Bloomsburg University on Saturday. He finished with a time of 16:05.00 beating his previous best time and school record to set a new school record. Congratulations Ben!

This past Saturday in Cross Country action, senior Ben Hummel placed 7th out of a field of 224 runners at the prestigious PIAA Foundations Invitational at Hersey with a time of 16:45. Congrats Ben!
