
Congratulations to Ben Hummel for finishing 1st out of 257 runners at the NEPA Invite held at Bloomsburg University on Saturday. He finished with a time of 16:05.00 beating his previous best time and school record to set a new school record. Congratulations Ben!

This past Saturday in Cross Country action, senior Ben Hummel placed 7th out of a field of 224 runners at the prestigious PIAA Foundations Invitational at Hersey with a time of 16:45. Congrats Ben!

Today, the Midd-West softball team will play in the District IV finals at 4:30 pm at Elm Park in Williamsport. The Mustangs will face a familiar foe in Loyalsock. Track and Field results after day one of the state track and field championships, we saw some great stuff! Camryn Pyle finished 15th in a loaded field in the 100m hurdle trials. She came back in the 300 hurdle trials and won her heat to advance to tomorrow’s final! The boys 4x4, Connor Stoltzfus, Wyatt Nelson, Ben Hummel and Anden Aitkins, followed and broke the school record again to advance to tomorrow’s final!
Tomorrow the day will start for this group with the boys 4x800 relay then Camryn in the 300 final followed by Wyatt, Anden and Ben in the 800 final. Finish the day with the 4x4!

Last evening, after a storm delay, the Mustang bats came out as hot as the weather, and defeated Lourdes Regional 12-2 in the first round of the District IV AAA softball play-offs. The tandem of Miley Beachel and Kylie Mitch held Lourdes to 4 hits. Leading the offense for the Mustangs were Cali Sauer with 4 RBI's ( 3-run home run) and Storm Wilt with multiple hits and 2 RBI's. The team will travel to Elm Park in Williamsport on Friday, May 24th to battle the top-seed North-Penn Liberty Mounties at 5:00 pm. The link to purchase tickets will be provided once available.


The Mustang track and field athletes have worked hard this season, and the benefits are starting to show. This past weekend at the District IV championships, the Mustangs brought home 11 medals and broke some pretty lofty records. In the field events, Ryland Portzline finished 8th in the shot put and Graham Yount finished 7th in the javelin. On the track, Olivia Stroup finished 7th in the 1600M and Connor Stoltzfus finished 6th in the 400M. In the men's 800M, three Mustangs crossed the finish line in the top 4, with Ben Hummel in 4th, Anden Aitkins in 2nd and Wyatt Nelson taking 1st place. Camryn Pyle took 2nd in the 100H and 1st in the 300H, breaking the District IV record with a time of 44.50. In the men's relays, the quartet of Anden Aitkins, Ben Hummel, Connor Stoltzfus and Wyatt Nelson took 2nd in the 1600 relay and first in the 3200 relay, breaking a District IV record in a time of 7:49.17

The first round of the District IV AAA Softball play-offs will be played on Wednesday, May 22nd at 4:00 pm. The Mustangs will host Lourdes Regional. The Mustangs earned the 4th seed with a regular season record of 12-6. Good luck ladies!

Congratulations to senior softball player, Mckennin Voss, who signed her letter of intent to play softball at Mount Aloysius College. Mckennin will major in Business for the Mounties and be a great asset to their line-up. Congratulations Mckennin and best of luck!
