Additional congratulations to Matthew Smith who became the all-time leader in wins at Midd-West. He currently has 155 wins, surpassing Avery Bassett who finished his career with 153 wins. Matthew will continue to add to his win total this weekend at the Regional tournament.
LOCATION CHANGE FOR SPRING SPORTS MEETING:
Tonight's Spring sports (Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse and Track) parent meeting will be held in the high school cafeteria at 5:30 pm. Again, this is a location change from the original announcement.
Junior High (7-8th grade) Spring athletes participating in Boys/Girls Soccer and Field Hockey will have a parent/athlete meeting on Monday, March 10th at 5:30 pm in the high school auditorium.
Reminder to all Spring senior high athletes and parents, there is a meeting in the high school auditorium at 5:30 pm tonight, 2/24. Athletes participating in baseball, softball, girls lacrosse and track and field are required to attend.

Attention all varsity athletes, if you have earned a varsity letter and you are interested in purchasing a varsity jacket, please see Mrs. Solomon in room 309 for an order form. There will also be order forms available in the main office and on the athletics portion of the MWSD website, under documents. Due date for returning orders is Feb. 28th.

Spring sports sign ups are taking place during lunch in the high school today. Any student who wants to participate in a Spring sport but did not sign up with Mrs. Solomon, needs to email bsolomon@mwsd.cc for the correct paperwork. Sign ups for 7th graders will take place later this month at the middle school.
Calling all current 6th-11th graders: Come out for Fall/Winter/Competition Cheer tryouts for the 2025-2026 season. No experience needed! The tryout process consist of learning the material Monday & Tuesday 3-5pm and then official tryouts being Wednesday 3-5pm the 26th. This will be for JH and Varsity spots. We are excited to keep building our program, with that being said we are looking to expand our competition team with male stunters/tumblers, don’t be afraid to give it a try! Questions? Message us!
The Midd-West wrestling team will travel to Milton High School tomorrow to compete in the District IV team duals. They will wrestle Towanda at 11:00 am. Tickets must be purchased online at the following link:

Congratulations to the Midd-West competitive cheer team who scored 5th in today's competition and earned a place in the semi-finals on Friday. The team will perform at 10:20 am for a shot at the PIAA State finals. Good luck ladies!

Attention all baseball players in grades 9-12: there will be open gym on Saturday, Jan. 25th from 1:00-3:00 pm in the West Snyder gym.
Congratulations to the Midd-West Mustangs competitive spirit team who competed at Districts this past Saturday. The team finished 6th overall and earned a spot in the PIAA championships. The preliminary round will be held on January 30th at Santander Arena in Reading. More information will be shared once available. Job well done to the team, coaches and fans who traveled to support the Mustangs! Good luck ladies in the State competition!
