The boys soccer team will compete in the District IV semi-finals on Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm at Balls Mills Soccer Complex in Williamsport. Saturday, October 25th @ 12:00 pm boys' soccer will travel to Milton to take on the Hughesville Spartans in the quarterfinal round of District IV AA boys' soccer.

Monday, October 27th @ 5:00 pm girls' volleyball will travel to Danville to take on the Ironmen in the District IV AAA semi-finals.

There will be a meeting for all athletes and a parent/guardian on Monday, November 10th at 6:00 pm in the high school auditorium. Information on PIAA and MWSD rules and team breakouts with coaches will occur. It is extremely important that everyone attends to make sure you are ready to start practices.

On Thursday, October 23rd the varsity boys and girls cross country teams will travel to Bloomsburg University to compete in the District IV championships. The girls will run at 10:15 and the boys will take off at 11:45 am. Come out and support our Mustang runners!

Last evening both the Midd-West girls' soccer and field hockey teams competed in the first round of District play. The field hockey team traveled to Line Mountain and fell to the Eagles 2-0, ending their season at 8-9-2.
Girls' soccer hosted North Penn-Mansfield and defeated the Tigers 3-0 behind goals from Maci Tittle (2) and Ava Aitkins. They will play Troy HS at Balls Mills Soccer Complex (2925 Lycoming Creek Rd, Williamsport) on Thursday at 6:00 pm. The link to purchase tickets is:

There will be sign-ups for youth boys' basketball (grades 3-6) on Tuesday, November 4th from 4:30-6:00 pm in the middle school gymnasium lobby.

This past Saturday in Cross-Country action, your Mustangs traveled to Shikellamy for the PHAC League Invite. Grant Boop finished 18th out of 101 runners with a new PR of 17:10. Congratulations to Grant and all the Mustang runners!

Attention all 7th and 8th grade girls' basketball players: the first practice will be on Monday, October 13th at 4:00 pm in the middle school gym.  Please make sure you have all of the required paperwork completed before the first day.

Saturday, September 27th the Cross Country teams traveled to Bloomsburg University for the NEPA Invite. Grant Boop finished 20th out of 283 runners with a time of 17:12.20. It was also a PR for Grant.

Parents, we need your help! We want our youth to attend and enjoy MW sporting events; however, we have been having issues with student behavior. Please reinforce the following with your children:
1. Check-in with your children throughout the event. Make sure you know where they are and what they are doing.
2. Currently, we allow students to bring footballs, soccer balls, etc. and play in the grass areas. This has become an increasing problem with fighting, hitting spectators with balls and yelling/ language. If this continues, we will not allow students to bring them into events.
3. Trash - we continually find trash in the stands and grass areas. Have your children clean up their areas at the end of the evening. This is the expectations of all spectators!

The Midd-West softball team will play in the semi-final round of the District IV softball tournament on Wednesday, May 21. They will play Central Columbia at Elm Park in Williamsport at 3:00 pm. This past Thursday and Saturday, the Midd-West track and field teams traveled to Williamsport for the District IV AAA championships. The Mustangs represented well and will have one relay, and 3 individuals compete at the PIAA State Championships in Shippensburg on Saturday, May 24th. Leigha Wenger - 4th overall in the Discus, Shot and Javelin Ashlyn Hoffman - 4th overall in the 800m 4x100 relay of Carly Faulhaber, Emma Williams, Emory Peters and Maddie Bonsall - 3rd overall Graham Yount - 4th overall in Javelin 4x400 relay of Wyatt Nelson, Ben Hummel, Connor Stoltzfus and Nathan Straub finished 4th PIAA State Qualifiers: Ben Hummel - 800m - District Champion Wyatt Nelson - 800m - District Runner-Up Connor Stoltzfus - 800m - 3rd place 4x800 relay - District Champions and New Balance Nationals qualifying time - Connor Stoltzfus, Wyatt Nelson, Lyncoln Hoffman and Ben Hummel

Attention fall athletes, if you did not get a physical here at the school, you will need to get a physical at your own doctor. The physical must be dated after May 1st and be submitted on healthy roster before the first day of practice. It must also be on the PIAA section 6 physical form which can be printed from the website or email Mrs. Solomon at bsolomon@mwsd.cc.
