Congratulations to Midd-West rising senior, Camryn Pyle, who received a citation from State Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver for her outstanding performance at the PIAA State Track and Field championships.
Tonight's fall athlete parent meeting location has been changed - the meeting will be held in Sports Boosters athletic park at 7:00 pm.
There will be a meeting for all fall athletes and parents in the high school auditorium on Thursday, July 27th at 7:00 pm. We will review MWSD and PIAA policies along with answer questions about the upcoming 2023 Fall season. Many of the booster clubs will also meet by sport. The following athletes and a parent should attend:
7-12 Football, Cheer and Cross Country
9-12 Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Field Hockey, Golf, Girls Volleyball
7-8 Softball
Reminder, PIAA physicals tonight from 5:30-8:00 pm in the high school nurse's office. Cost is $15.00 per physical. Any athletes in grades 7-12 who will need a physical for the 2023-2024 school year can attend.

As of now, the Mustangs in Training camp will go on as scheduled. We will start in Sports Boosters Athletic park at 5pm. Updates will be provided here if needed.
Update for the Mustangs in Training Camp....
Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast, we will need to move tonight's camp activities indoors. We will have the opening ceremony in the middle school gym at 5:00 pm. Please park in the back lot and use those doors to enter the building. At this time, you will be able to check-in, get your t-shirt and get directions for tonight's events. All participants should wear sneakers and parents be aware that tonight's camp will end early at approximately 6:15 pm
Today's Mustangs in Training Camp will still be on as scheduled. We will make a decision around 3:00 pm whether or not we will be inside or outside. Please check the athletics section of the website or Facebook for updates.
On the second day of the District IV track and field championships, the Mustangs were on fire! The following earned a place on the medal stand:

Anden Aitkins - 8th in 800M
Mens 4x400 (Solomon, Ben Hummel, Wyatt Nelson and Aitkins) - 4th
Midd-West is sending 7 athletes to the PIAA Championships at Shippensburg University. This is a school record for the number of MW athletes competing at States and the first ever relay teams to qualify. The following will be competing this weekend:

Friday and Saturday, May 26-27 - Track and Field @ Shippensburg University for the PIAA State Championships. The MW mens 4x800 and 4x400 teams (Aitkins, Hummel, Nelson, Stoltzfus and Solomon), Miles Aurand in shot put and Cam Pyle in 100 and 300 hurdles will all be competing. The Midd-West track and field team had a great first night at the PIAA District IV Championships on Thursday night. The men's 4x800 relay took 4th overall but also ran a state qualifying time to earn a spot at Shippensburg University next week. Miles Aurand also broke his own school record in the shot put to earn a 2nd place finish and a trip to the state championships. Congratulations to all and good luck to the remaining athletes who will compete on Saturday.
Congratulations to the Midd-West Baseball team as they clinched the PHAC Division 2 championship last evening by defeating Montoursville 5-4. The team finishes the regular season with an overall record of 15-3. The Mustangs will now enter into AAAA Districts as the #2 seed. Information on dates and times will be posted once the brackets are released. Way to go Mustangs! We are proud of you!
