
Mrs. Cramer is the PAThS Staff Member of the Week! She is the physical education teacher at West Snyder Elementary. She has been teaching for 17 years! Mrs. Cramer attended Shippensburg University and Lock Haven University.
Her family includes her husband and three children: Hannah, Kenzie, and Callen.
Outside of school Mrs. Cramer enjoys exercising, camping, and spending time with friends and family.
Favorite part of teaching: “Watching the enjoyment students show when they participate in activities. The more they want to move the better their lives can be.”

Miss Paula Garman is our PAThS Staff of the Week! She has been a paraprofessional at West Snyder Elementary for six years.
She has a daughter that is almost 16 years old. Outside of school, she loves to go to Benezette and spend time in the mountains. She also enjoys any type of traveling.
Her favorite part of her job is “being a part of the kids ‘a-ha’ or lightbulb moments!”

Mrs. Sheaffer is the PATHS Staff Member of the Week. She is a 4th grade teacher. This is her 24th year teaching. She graduated from Bloomsburg University for both her Bachelor and Masters Degree.
Her family includes Jake, Katie, and Trevor. Her husband, Jake, and Mrs. Sheaffer were high school sweethearts and have been married for almost 26 years! Katie is a sophomore at Susquehanna University, and Trevor is a sophomore at Midd -West High School. Cami, her 4-legged friend, naps all day and dreams of hunting turkeys in the fall.
Outside of school, “I love to spend time with my family. I love to watch baseball, visit the beach and spend time outside.”
Favorite part of teaching: “I love to tell stories (she is the best story teller)! It is a great way to connect with my students and their families. I think forming relationships with my ‘kids’ is one of the best parts of teaching! As I always say, ‘Once a Sheaffer, Always a Sheaffer!’”

Mrs. Keller is this week’s PAThS Staff Member of the Week! She is a Special Education Teacher. She has been teaching for 15 years. Mrs. Keller graduated from the University of Massachusetts and Fitchburg State University. Her family includes her husband, Nate, two daughters, Hailey and Ashley, and a dog.
Outside of school, Mrs. Keller enjoys going to the beach, spending time outdoors, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys gardening.
Favorite part of teaching: “Watching the “ah ha” moment when something makes sense for the first time and all the ways the students make me smile or laugh daily.”

Mrs. Mengle is the PAThS Staff Member of the Week. She is a paraprofessional at West Snyder Elementary. She has been working for 16 years. Her family includes her husband, Dave, three children, SheRa, Luke, and Noah, and one granddaughter, Kandyce.
Outside of school, Mrs. Mengle loves to go to their cabin at the PA Grand Canyon. Her favorite part of being a paraprofessional is being able to see the students learn and grow!

Miss Christa Dressler is our PAThS Staff Member of the Week! She is West Snyder’s secretary and this is her 5th year. She has a husband, Derik, two sons, Trey and Finn, and a coonhound, Fern.
Outside of school, Miss Christa likes being outside with her family, riding 4-wheelers, swimming, and watching Finn and Trey play baseball and soccer.
She loves getting smiles and hugs all day long!

The PAThS Staff Member of the Week was Ms. Sarah Brubaker. She is a 4th grade teacher. She has been teaching for 10 years. She spent 2 years teaching in middle school in Mew Mexico. She taught one year in fifth grade and this is her seventh year in 4th grade! She attended Messiah College and Wilkes University. She has one dog named Kiva.
Outside of school l, Ms. Brubaker enjoys working on grad school work, being outdoors (walking, biking, kayaking, playing games/cards, and serving as a youth leader at her church).
Favorite part of teaching: “My favorite part of teaching is helping students learn and grow. I especially enjoy learning moments when something that may have been challenging ‘clicks’ for a student.”

Mrs. Wagner is this weeks PAThS Staff Member of the Week! She is a first grade teacher at West Snyder Elementary! This is her 21st year. She attended Bloomsburg University and Wilkes University. Her family includes her husband, who teaches and coaches for Midd-West basketball. They also have two feisty felines at home!
Outside of school Mrs. Wagner likes to go to basketball games (elementary, junior high, JV/Varsity, or at Penn State) and getting together with her close circle of friends.
Favorite Part of Teaching: “Guiding my kids to grow as learners, getting to know my kids, their families and interests, and doing fun, educational activities!”

Mrs. Emily Kramer was the PAThS Staff Member of the Week! She is a Reading Specialist but she used to be a Kindergarten teacher! This is her 8th year teaching. She attended Susquehanna University for her undergraduate degree. She got her Master’s from Bloomsburg and is currently getting her second Master’s from Wilkes!
Family: Mrs. Kramer has a husband and two daughters (ages 2 and 1) and another baby on the way! Her pets include two dogs, a cat, chickens, and a hermit crab!
Outside of school Mrs. Kramer likes going to grad school, gardening, and being active outside. She also enjoys baking with her daughters.
Favorite Part of Teaching: Seeing that lightbulb “aha” moment in a child’s eyes and watching their love of learning grow!

Mrs. Orner is the PAThS Staff Member of the Week! She is a music teacher and this is her 22nd year at Midd-West. She attended Lebanon Valley College for both her Bachelor and Master Degrees.
Family: I have a husband, Dan, and two sons Cole and Nate. We also have four cats.
Favorite part of teaching: My favorite part of teaching music is helping my students be able to play an instrument and perform.

The February 14th and 28th Midd-West School Board meetings will be IN- person and there will be NO Zoom participation. All public comments will have to follow district policy and occur in person.

Mrs. Lantz is this week’s PAThS Staff Member of the Week!
She currently teaches third grade but has also taught fourth and fifth grade. This is her fifth year teaching, but has been in the district for 18 years! Mrs. Lantz attended Penn State for her Associates Degree in Letters, Arts & Sciences. She received her Bachelors of Science in Education from Drexel University and is finishing her Master’s Degree from Wilkes University.

Mrs. Messimer is the PAThS Staff Member of the Week. She is a fifth grade teacher and has been teaching for seven years. She attended Penn State University and Wilkes University. Her family includes her husband, three children, Molly, Maddy, and Mason, and two dogs.
Outside of School Mrs. Messimer enjoys camping, activities with her kids, going to Knoebels, the beach, Lewisburg Children’s Center, Gymnastics, fishing, cookouts, indoor water parks, swimming, Whitaker Center, Baltimore Aquarium, and so much more!
Favorite Part of Teaching: Interacting with students every day, hearing their stories, and seeing the lightbulb go off when they have “learned.”
