Important Graduation News for Seniors:
Most seniors have picked up their cap and gown, however, a few must still do so. Please plan to pick them up at the High School Office by Friday, May 22.
Seniors may begin turning in their Midd-West School District laptops to the IT department on Friday, May 22. Laptops should be returned to the IT department by Wednesday, May 27.
The Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 27, at 6:00 pm in the High School Auditorium. All Seniors are expected to attend this formal ceremony and should arrive at the High School cafeteria by 5:30 pm. Families are invited and encouraged to attend to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2026.
On Thursday, May 28, the Parade of Seniors will be held in all MWSD buildings in the morning, followed by a senior class picture at the stadium. Students are to arrive at Midd-West High School Auditorium by 8:00 am with their cap, gown, stole, and cords.
Also on Thursday, the Annual Senior Sunset Celebration will take place at the Sports Booster’s Stadium at 7:00 pm. All seniors are encouraged and invited to attend.
On Friday, May 29, Seniors are required to attend graduation practice at 8:00 am at the Football Stadium.
Finally, the graduation ceremony is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Friday, May 29. Seniors are to report to the Elementary School by 6:15 pm with their cap, gown, stole, and cords.
The plan is to host the graduation ceremony outdoors in the football stadium. A decision to have the ceremony outside or inside will be made on Wednesday morning, May 27, based on the weather forecast for Friday evening. If the weather permits an outdoor ceremony, ticket holders will be allowed to enter the gate on the home side of the stadium beginning at 6:00 pm. Non-ticket holders will be allowed to enter the gate on the visitor side of the stadium beginning at 6:40 pm. If the weather forecast dictates an indoor ceremony, it will be held in the Middle School gymnasium, and tickets will be required to attend.
Weather predictions can be a challenge, and we must make a decision based on the forecast with plenty of time to set up and prepare for the ceremony. Thank you in advance for understanding. Additionally, once the decision is made, more information regarding traffic flow and parking will be shared based on the venue.
