Midd-West High School’s Young American for April 2026 is Zoe Wagner. She is the daughter of Eric and Heather Wagner of Paxtonville. Zoe serves as the Student Council Assistant Treasurer. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Zoe is a Bronze Recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award (over 100 hours of volunteering) and the Kelsey Kuhns Memorial Award (Dance). She has been on the Honor and Distinguished Honor Rolls throughout her high school career. Zoe is in the Work Study Program with a placement as a Radiology Co-Op at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She has certifications in CPR and AED. Zoe has given back to her community by completing over 100 hours of volunteer service at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA, as well as participating in school-planned activities. She has been actively dancing for 14 consecutive years and has attained the highest level at Enterline Dance Studio. She is actively involved in her church helping in various areas including kids’ events. Additionally, Zoe works at two jobs year-round, Rusty Rail and Geisinger Radiology. Following graduation, Zoe is planning to attend Bloomsburg University in the fall to study Medical Imaging while continuing to work at Geisinger Medical Center as a Radiology Assistant. She believes that she was chosen as a Young American because of her grades throughout high school, along with her involvement in school activities and organizations in addition to her participation in activities outside of school. All these things have contributed to her personal growth and helped shape her into a responsible young member of society. Zoe would like people to know the kind of person she is beyond her activities and commitments. She wants them to know how much she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and how she always tries to be the best version of herself, for both her and those around her.
