Midd-West High School would like to recognize the following students for being selected as a Leader of the H.E.R.D. These students regularly exhibit one (or more) of the four-character traits of the H.E.R.D., being Helpful, Empathetic, Responsible, Driven, and contribute to Midd-West High School in a positive way.

BMThe 8th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for March is Brooklyn Middleswarth. She is the daughter of Rob and Bridget Middleswarth of Middleburg. Brooklyn was chosen as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because of her strong work ethic and positive attitude towards learning. She is friendly in addition to being helpful to other students who may be struggling. Brooklyn’s school activities include Student Council and Key Club. Outside of school, she cheers competitively on two teams at Pennsylvania Elite Cheerleading. She enjoys tumbling, swimming, attending concerts and Phillies baseball games, and spending time with her friends and family. In the future, Brooklyn plans to attend college in Florida to be a Prenatal Ultrasound Technician and continue to cheer.

CSCameron Swineford is the 9th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for March. He is the son of Curtis and Amanda Swineford of Middleburg. In school, Cameron participates in Golf and DECA. In his free time, he enjoys fishing with his dad, golfing with his friends, and watching movies with his mom. After graduation, Cameron plans to go to medical school and pursue being an anesthesiologist. Cameron was selected as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because he sets an example for other students in his work ethic, strives to do well in his classes, and prompts others to do the right thing.

IGThe 10th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for March is Isaiah Osgood. He is the son of Sara Osgood of Middleburg and the late Mike Osgood. Isaiah was selected as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because he steps up when there is a need and does the right thing even when others don’t. Isaiah’s school activities include Concert Band, Yearbook, and Baseball. Outside of school, he enjoys hanging out with his friends and attending Richfield Life Ministries Youth Group. Isaiah is currently undecided about his plans following graduation.

BABailey Adams is the 11th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for March. She is the daughter of James and Megan Adams of Middleburg. In school, Bailey is active in FFA and serves as the Treasurer. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Outside of school, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, working on her family’s farm, and volunteering at T & D Cats of the World. In the future, Bailey is planning to attend college to become a veterinarian. Bailey was chosen as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because she is a hard-working and respectful student who excels in class by always being prepared and ready to learn. She is helpful to her peers and polite to staff.

MDThe 12th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for March is Madison Delong. She is the daughter of Cody and Stephanie Delong of McClure. Madison was chosen as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. for her school spirit and positive attitude. Madison’s school activities include Field Hockey (9th-12th) and Lacrosse. She served as a Captain for the Field Hockey Team in the 2025 season. Madison is part of the Work Study Program with a placement at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Calvin, going shopping, making memories, having quality time with her people, and hanging out with her friends and family. After graduation, Madison is planning to go to nursing school and pursue a career in healthcare because she is passionate about helping others and being a part of their journey.
