Midd-West High School would like to recognize the following students for being selected as Student of the Month. These are students who represent Midd-West High School well through their academics, attendance, involvement in activities, and good citizenship (responsible, hard-working, and dependable).
The 8th grade Student of the Month for March is Madilyn Kerstetter. She is the daughter of Rick and Melanie Kerstetter of Mount Pleasant Mills. Madilyn was chosen as Student of the Month because she has a great attitude every day, encourages others to work hard, and spreads kindness to her classmates. Madilyn’s favorite classes in school are Art and Physical Education. She is involved in Soccer and Softball. Outside of school, she enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, and being with her friends. In the future, Madilyn is planning to go to college with an interest in the medical field.
Tanzania Seibel is the 9th grade Student of the Month for March. She is the daughter of Kevin and Aimee Seibel of Middleburg. In school, Tanzania participates in FFA, Cross Country, and Track and Field. In her free time, she enjoys working on the farm, showing animals at the Beaver Fair, and hanging out with her friends. After graduation, Tanzania plans to attend Delaware Valley University to become a large animal veterinarian. Tanzania was selected as the Student of the Month because she is a kind and friendly student who is hardworking, helps others, and volunteers.
The 10th grade Student of the Month for March is Lyncoln Hoffman. He is the son of Andrew and Monaca Hoffman of Mount Pleasant Mills. Lyncoln was selected as the Student of the Month because he has been an outstanding role model and mentor to the younger members of his team. He also shows school spirit by supporting other sports teams. Lyncoln’s school activities include Cross Country and Track and Field. Outside of school, he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and hanging out with his friends. After graduation, Lyncoln is planning to attend college to study Business.
Gavin Gelnett is the 11th grade Student of the Month for March. He is the son of Levi and Kristi Gelnett of Middleburg. In school, Gavin is a member of the Cross Country Team, National Honor Society, and Envirothon. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bike. In the future, Gavin is planning to attend college to study surveying. Gavin was chosen as the Student of the Month because of his tremendous work ethic and positive attitude toward learning.
The 12th grade Student of the Month for March is Tegan Brower. She is the daughter of Amanda Hetrick of McClure and Nathan Brower of Beaver Springs. Tegan was chosen as the Student of the Month because she is a responsible and conscientious student with an incredible work ethic. Tegan’s school activities include Class Congress and National Honor Society where she also serves as the Secretary. She is a part of the Work Study Program with a placement at Geisinger Burnham – Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. After graduation, Tegan is planning to further her education at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania – Bloomsburg to pursue a career in the medical field.
