All students can be proud of the accomplishment of finishing an NHD project. Students do extensive research, write a thesis and conclusion, a process paper and annotated Bibliography in addition to creating their project, all within the guidelines set forth by National History Day and adhering to the theme of the year At the competition, they talk with the judges and answer questions about their projects.
Ten Midd West students placed in the top three of their division and categories and will be moving on to the State competition in April at Scranton University: Tyler Giligbauer, George and Sam Rood with their documentary on Vicksburg, Emma Bell with her exhibit on Middleswarth Chips, Amarah Mulaney with her exhibit on the Declaration of Independence, Annilee Yost with her exhibit on Chernobyl, Aubrey Lullo and Breeleigh Walter with their exhibit on McDonalds and Cadence Carnahan and Emma Bell with their performance on Parkesine-- the first plastic.
