Midd-West High School would like to recognize the following students for being selected as the Student of the Month. These are students who represent Midd-West High School well through their academics, attendance, involvement in activities, and good citizenship (responsible, hard-working, and dependable).

RWThe 8th grade Student of the Month for December is Regan Wolf. She is the daughter of Christopher and Stephanie Wolf of Middleburg. Regan was chosen as the Student of the Month because she is a hard worker and all-around great student. Her school activities include being the manager of the Varsity Football and Wrestling teams. Outside of school, Regan enjoys shopping, helping on the farm, attending youth group, and hanging out with her friends and family. In the future, Regan plans to go to college to obtain a degree in the medical field.

MSMelissa Sheaffer is the 9th grade Student of the Month for December. She is the daughter of Chandler and Rachel Sheaffer of Middleburg. In school, Melissa participates in Field Hockey, Basketball, and Band. She is a member of the Key Club and has helped with many projects within the school. In her free time, she enjoys attending her youth group, doing art, and being outdoors. After graduation, Melissa plans to become an early education teacher. Melissa was selected as the Student of the Month because she has amazing work ethic, actively seeks knowledge, willingly participates in class, and always completes her work.

ASThe 10th grade Student of the Month for December is Ava Kline. She is the daughter of Michael and Monica Kline of Middleburg. Ava was selected as the Student of the Month because she is an all-around good student who is respectful and kind. She willingly assists other students academically. Ava’s school activities include FFA and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Outside of school, she enjoys riding horses, racing go karts, and hanging out with her friends. After graduation, Ava is planning to become an ultrasound technician.

JNJocelyn Nipple is the 11th grade Student of the Month for December. She is the daughter of Shannon Nipple of Liverpool. Jocelyn is a member of Quiz Bowl and is the President of the German Travel Club. She enjoys writing, reading, drawing, and studying. In the future, Jocelyn is planning to get her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, attend medical school for her licensing in Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, and then following her residency and fellowship become a trauma surgeon. Jocelyn was chosen as the Student of the Month because she is a truly exceptional, dedicated student who genuinely values her learning opportunities by choosing to challenge herself with her courses. She maintains a positive attitude and is always kind and courteous.

CSThe 12th grade Student of the Month for December is Cali Sauer. She is the daughter of Christopher and Carla Sauer of Middleburg. Cali was chosen as the Student of the Month because she is a responsible, diligent student who is highly involved in extracurricular activities. Cali’s school activities include Basketball, Softball, National Honor Society, and School Board Representative. As a member of Student Council, Cali co-organized and planned the Paint Out along with volunteering for extra shifts in selling homecoming tickets at lunch. In her free time, she enjoys playing softball, reading, baking, and hanging out with her friends and family. After graduation, Cali is planning to further her education at Converse University to major in Biology and play softball.
