Bren holds several musical leadership positions as the Drum Major in Marching Band, Bass Co-Section Leader, Vice President in Theater, and Secretary of the Midd-West Vocal Collective. Bren showed initiative and leadership by spearheading the formation of a new club, Faith Based Club, for Friday’s activity schedule. He has received Student of the Month in 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th grade and has been on the Distinguished Honor Roll all throughout high school. In 11th grade, he achieved the highest English GPA. Bren has received the Outstanding 11th Grade Singer Award. He also has been selected to be a Bass for the 2026 PMEA District Chorus Festival. Bren has received the Band Student of the Month Award every year throughout high school and the Directors Award in Band. He was selected for PMEA Region Band and All-State Wind Ensemble in his junior year. He has been chosen for District Band this year. Bren has been an active member in the Theater by being involved in both the school plays and musicals throughout high school. He has played in the Pit Band for the musicals and has had a role in the Fall Plays, including a lead role in the current fall play. He gives back to his community by serving at his church almost every Sunday on either the Tech Team or the Worship Team. He also is a part of the Midd-West High School’s Youth in Philanthropy Program, where grants are given to non-profit organizations for the benefit of the community. Bren has a unique talent and ability to be able to play almost every instrument in a concert band setting. His hobbies consist of playing music, hanging out with his friends, and playing with his dog. Bren is planning to attend Susquehanna University to pursue a degree in Music Education, as well as being a candidate to try an additional degree of Multi-Woodwind Performance on alto sax, clarinet, flute, and bassoon. He believes he was selected as a Young American because of his perseverance, work ethic, determination, and leadership. Bren would like others to know that no matter where life takes him, he will always have God with him too.
