Midd-West High School would like to recognize the following students for being selected as the Students of the Month. These are students who represent Midd-West High School well through their academics, attendance, involvement in activities, and good citizenship (responsible, hard-working, and dependable).

ABThe 8th grade Student of the Month for October is Aiden Bearce. He is the son of Kayla Bearce of Beavertown and Dakota Bearce of Milton. Aiden was chosen as the Student of the Month because he is a hard-working student who takes any challenge given to him, works well with others, helps his peers, and is friendly to everyone. His school activities include Wrestling and First Responder Club. Outside of school, Aiden enjoys wrestling, playing games, spending time with his dogs, fishing, walking, cooking, and baking. In the future, Aiden plans to join the Army or Marines and then attend college.

CBCalvin Beaver is the 9th grade Student of the Month for October. He is the son of Patrick Beaver and Jennifer Mattive-Beaver of Middleburg. In school, Calvin participates in Basketball, Golf, and DECA. In 8th grade, he was a Chief Science Officer. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, hunting, playing indoor soccer, and spending time with his family and friends. Calvin also assists his family with the operations of T & D Cats. After graduation, Calvin plans to attend veterinary school. Calvin was selected as the Student of the Month because he is a diligent, respectful student who excels in class.

KBThe 10th grade Student of the Month for October is Kaydin Bingaman. She is the daughter of Andrea Bingaman of McClure and Aaron Troup of Mt. Pleasant Mills. Kaydin was selected as the Student of the Month because of her consistently high grades in all classes including two Honor classes and has taken leadership in Yearbook by regularly volunteering to take pictures at events and helping others. Kaydin’s school activities include Girls Soccer, DECA, Student Council, and Yearbook. She was selected by her peers to be a sophomore representative on the Homecoming Court 2025. Outside of school, she enjoys playing club soccer, working at the Middleburg Hotel, shopping, and hanging out with her friends. After graduation, Kaydin is planning to attend college to become an Athletic Trainer or Pediatric Occupational Therapist in addition to having a family.

AHAshlyn Hoffman is the 11th grade Student of the Month for October. She is the daughter of Joseph and Heidi Hoffman of Mount Pleasant Mills. In school, Ashlyn participates in Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field and FFA. She is the captain of the Girls’ Cross Country Team. Ashlyn is a member of the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She enjoys playing guitar, hanging out with her friends, and showing sheep and rabbits in 4H. In the future, Ashlyn is planning to attend college to become an elementary school teacher. She also would like to run Cross Country and Track and Field at the collegiate level. Ashlyn was chosen as the Student of the Month because she is a kind, considerate and mature student who takes initiative and is aware of the needs of others.

BCThe 12th grade Student of the Month for October is Bren Crossgrove. He is the son of Jeffrey and Cathi Crossgrove of Middleburg. Bren was chosen as the Student of the Month because he is a dedicated, talented, kind, and considerate student that genuinely appreciates and takes advantage of the educational opportunities available to him in addition to working well with both adults and students. He strives for excellence and gives it his all in everything he does and does not back down from a challenge. Bren participates in numerous musical activities in school including Marching Band, Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Modern Band, 8th Grade Band, Concert Band, Pit Band, Vocal Collective, Vocal Ensemble, and Concert Choir. He is active in the Theater by being involved in both the school plays and musicals. In addition, he is a member of the Faith Based Club and Youth in Philanthropy. He is taking courses at Susquehanna University along with a full schedule at the high school. In his free time, Bren is actively involved in his church with Youth Group, Worship Team, Camera Team and Lighting Team. He enjoys playing music with friends and composing music. After graduation, Bren is planning to further his education at Susquehanna University to study Music Education.
