Midd-West High School April 2025

Midd-West High School would like to recognize the following students for being selected as the Student of the Month. These are students who represent Midd-West High School well through their academics, attendance, involvement in activities, and good citizenship (responsible, hard-working, and dependable).

BTThe 8th grade Student of the Month for April is Britnee Tate. She is the daughter of Scott and Amy Tate of Middleburg. Britnee was chosen as the Student of the Month because she has a strong work ethic, is motivated to succeed, actively participates in class, willingly helps other students, and has a positive attitude towards learning. Britnee’s school activities include Chorus and National History Day. She will be competing at the state level of National History Day. In addition, Britnee is a member of the FFA and the FFA Conduct of Chapter Meetings Team. Outside of school, she enjoys reading and drag racing. In the future, Britnee plans to go to college and possibly become a lawyer.

AGAubrey Gunnell is the 9th grade Student of the Month for April. She is the daughter of Bobby Gunnell and Sharon Ruhl of Kreamer. In school, Aubrey’s favorite subjects are Choir and Art because she likes the opportunity these classes allow in making friends with those who have similar interests. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, cooking, and hanging out with her friends. After graduation, Aubrey plans to study to become a chiropractor. Aubrey was selected as the Student of the Month because she is a conscientious student who submits excellent work and completes all her assignments on time.

JSThe 10th grade Student of the Month for April is Jacob Sellers. He is the son of Micheal and Katie Sellers of Beaver Springs. Jacob was selected as the Student of the Month because he is an outstanding student who asks thoughtful questions in the classroom and is always willing to help when needed. He also volunteers his time to help the Junior High Soccer Team. Jacob’s school activities include Soccer, Track and Field, and DECA. Outside of school, he enjoys playing chess and soccer, learning, doing Biblical studies, and hanging out with his friends and family. After graduation, Jacob is planning to attend college for engineering and pursue a career in that field. He also would like to do evangelistic work and start a family.

MHMatthew Hunsberger is the 11th grade Student of the Month for April. He is the son of James and Rosemary Hunsberger of Richfield. In school, Matthew participates in Theatre and Vocal Collective. He was selected for District Chorus and the All State PMEA Choir. He enjoys playing piano, singing, working out, being outside, and playing music. In the future, Matthew is planning to go to college to become a teacher. Matthew was chosen as the Student of the Month because he is a polite and cheerful student who remains on top of his academics throughout his busy schedule and has volunteered to help in any way that he could with Prom preparations.

REThe 12th grade Student of the Month for April is Rachel Erdman. She is the daughter of Richard and Sarah Erdman of Middleburg. Rachel was chosen as Student of the Month because she has been a great asset to the yearbook staff by going above and beyond with her work, dedicating extra time to getting her pages completed, and helping others complete their pages. Rachel has been actively involved in the Yearbook Staff since 10th grade. She is the Yearbook Business Manager and one of the Senior Editors. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, building Legos, traveling to new places, going for walks, and hanging out with her friends. After graduation, Rachel is planning to further her education by attending Mansfield University to study Psychology. She would like to be an elementary school guidance counselor.
