Midd-West High School February 2024 Young American

The Midd-West High School is pleased to announce the February 2024 Young American is Tianna Lauver. She is the daughter of Martina Uskurait of Middleburg. Tianna serves in various leadership roles as the Pennsylvania DECA State President, Midd-West DECA President, Varsity Cheerleading Captain, Senior Class Treasurer, and the Manager of the Stampede School Store. She has been a two-time qualifier for the International DECA Competition in 10th and 11th grade. Tianna has been on the Distinguished Honor Roll throughout all four years in high school. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. Tianna gives back to her community by volunteering in clinics and camps with the youth cheerleaders, volunteering at the high school blood drives, and helping at the elementary and middle school field days. Her favorite activity to do outside of school is to spend time with her friends and family. After graduation, Tianna plans to attend Lock Haven University for Sports Management. She believes she was selected to be a Young American because of her leadership skills and because of her involvement in many things inside and outside of school. Tianna would like people to know that she is incredibly blessed with her mom and grandparents’ support and love.
