Leaders of the H.E.R.D.

Midd-West High School would like to recognize the following students for being a Leader of the H.E.R.D. (Helpful, Empathic, Responsible, and Driven)

The 8th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for November is Madeline Bonsall. She is the daughter of Greg and Marissa Bonsall of Middleburg. Madeline was chosen as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because she is a hard-working student who always makes a great effort in class and is always willing to help her peers. Madeline’s school activities include Concert Band, Susquehanna Valley Band, Junior High Basketball, Junior High Soccer, and being a Soccer Manger for the Junior Varsity and Varsity Teams. Outside of school, she enjoys playing club soccer, working out, attending church and youth group, and spending time with her friends and family. In the future, Madeline plans to attend college.




Weston Shultz is the 9th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for November. He is the son of Darren and Linsey Shultz of Beavertown. In school, Weston participates in Chorus, DECA, Class Congress, and Basketball. In his free time, he enjoys playing games, watching sports, golfing, and spending time with his friends and family. Weston is also a member of the Beaver Lutheran Church Youth Group. After graduation, he plans to go to college to pursue a career in the medical field. Weston was selected as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because he is always kind, polite, thoughtful, considerate of others, and looks for opportunities to help others.




The 10th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for November is Asia Seibel. She is the daughter of Kevin Seibel and Aimee Hackenberg of Middleburg. Asia was selected as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because she is a hard-working and respectful student who is always willing to help. She has a positive attitude and says hello to everyone. Asia’s school activities include Student Council and Track and Field. Outside of school, she helps on her family’s little farm and works at the Hotel Middleburger. She also enjoys going to youth group and participating in 4H. After graduation, Asia is planning to become a preschool teacher.


Loretta Goss is the 11th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for November. She is the daughter of Lacey Goss of Richfield and Eran Goss of Beaver Springs. She participates in the Free Reading Club in school. Loretta enjoys reading, writing, painting, and hanging out with friends. In the future, Loretta is planning to obtain her associate degree in business and would like to become a real estate agent. She was chosen as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because she comes to class with a great attitude and is working hard this year to stay on top of her schoolwork.




The 12th grade Leader of the H.E.R.D. for November is Skyylar Epley. He is the son of Shannon Shirk of Middleburg and Doug Epley of Millmont. Skyylar was chosen as the Leader of the H.E.R.D. because of his involvement in extracurricular activities. Skyylar’s school activities include Marching Band – Drum Major, Choir – Bass Section Leader, Jazz Band, Vocal Collective, District Chorus, Youth in Philanthropy, and Theatre. In his free time, he enjoys art, the outdoors, and taking care of plants. Skyylar is currently undecided about his plans following graduation.
