Lightweight Champion "Marty"

This is "Marty" exhibited as a Supervised Ag Experience (SAE) project by Makala Arbogast. Marty is the first lamb born at the school Farm by one of our own ewes. His mother, "Linda" was a bottle lamb raised by Miss Liszka and our students. Makala cared for Marty and trained him for the show where he earned Lightweight Champion market lamb at the Beaver Fair! Mrs. Gunnell worked with Makayla putting in many hours to make this happen, and also deserves tremendous credit for going above and beyond the teaching day. Her dedication to Midd-West Education and the Midd-West FFA program is amazing! She made sure Makayla stayed on task, held her accountable, and helped her learn the skill and pathway to success. This was an outstanding project for Makayla, and she learned responsibility and many skills while really enjoying the experience. Carl Rudy of Halifax judged the event.
