Young American for March

Midd-West High School’s Young American for March is Ryan Frantz. He is the son of Tom and Shawn Frantz of Mt. Pleasant Mills. Ryan has been chosen as Student of the Month throughout his high school career. He serves as the Vice President of the Midd-West FFA and President of the Big Dreamers 4-H Club. Ryan has received multiple awards throughout his FFA career on an Area, District, State, and National level. He has earned multiple Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Honors at the Beaver Fair and Pennsylvania State Farm Show. He helps with projects and fundraisers for the Beaver Community Fair Building Fund. This fund helps establish new buildings on the Beaver Community Fairgrounds to help the fairgrounds look better and to improve the facilities for the livestock exhibitors. Ryan enjoys showing cattle, lambs, and hogs, in addition to livestock judging. Ryan gives back to his community by helping assemble and deliver food boxes at his church that are distributed to the needy in his community. After graduation, he is planning to attend Purdue University to major in Animal Science. Ryan would like people to know that everyone should continue to support their local agricultural businesses. Without farmers, there would be no food.
