Young American for January

Midd-West High School’s Young American for January is Carson Witherite. He is the son of Jeffrey and Jill Witherite of Mt. Pleasant Mills. Carson was selected as Young American for his ability to step up and handle all the challenges that have been thrown his way. He serves as the Senior Class President, Theatre Vice President, National Honor Society Treasurer, and Choir Assistant Director. Carson was awarded the University of Rochester’s Frederick Douglass and Susan B Anthony Award. He enjoys making music with those he cherishes. Carson gives back to his community by doing Tiger Treats, assisting in the National Honor Society Thanksgiving Dinner, and playing Christmas music annually at Grayson View Assisted Living. He is planning to attend college for Music Therapy with the intent of earning a Doctorate Degree in Music Therapy. Carson would like people to know that it is utterly important to help the growth of everyone around you.
