Midd-West High School February Students of the Month
Delaney Hassinger is the 8th grade Student of the Month for February. She is the daughter of Dawn Hassinger and Damon Hassinger both of Middleburg. In school, Delaney’s activities include Softball, Soccer, and FFA. Outside of school, she participates in Youth Group, playing Soccer and Softball, and hanging out with friends and family. Delaney would like to go to college to become a Pediatrician.
The 9th grade Student of the Month for February is Lydia Bowersox. She is the daughter of Darryl and Aimee Bowersox of Middleburg. Lydia’s school activities include Cross Country, Track and Field, and performing in the 2019 musical, Music Man. She loves reading books and spending time with friends and family. In addition, Lydia is a Competitive Equestrian Rider in the U.S. Equestrial Federation and the Interscholastic Equestrian Association competing against other high school riders. She feels very strongly that Equestrian Riding is most assuredly a sport! In the future, Lydia plans to go to college for studies yet to be determined.
Sawyer Hornberger is the 10th grade Student of the Month for February. He is the son of Allen and Deb Hornberger of Mt. Pleasant Mills. In school, Sawyer participates in Football, Weight Lifting, and Robotics Club. He enjoys hunting, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with family and friends. Sawyer would like to attend college and study something in the Agricultural Field.
Autumn G. Zeigler is the 11th grade Student of the Month for February. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Amy Zeigler of Middleburg. Autumn’s school activities include Vocal Ensemble, A Cappella, Jazz Band, and Musicals/Plays. Outside of school, she enjoys participating in Youth Group and Church, singing, reading, and spending time with family and friends. At this time, Autumn is undecided about her plans for after graduation.
The 12th grade Student of the Month for February is Kailey Swineford. She is the daughter of Staci Walls of Richfield and Christopher Swineford of Richfield. In school, Kailey is involved in Track and Field, Student Council, National Honor Society, and the Work Study Program. She enjoys traveling, participating in Youth Group, watching Pretty Little Liars and Dance Moms, and spending time with family and friends. After graduation, Kailey is planning to attend Shippensburg University to complete a dual major in Elementary Education (Pre-K – 4) and Special Education.
