K Camp

Dear Parents of Incoming Kindergarteners,

Here at Midd-West, we are so excited to begin your child’s educational journey!  We will be holding Kindergarten Camp on August 16, 17, and 18 from 9:30 – 11:45 each day at both Middleburg Elementary and West Snyder Elementary. The purpose of summer Kindergarten program is to introduce your child to the school and academic routines, while promoting a positive learning environment.  Students will participate in fun activities, recess, snack, and read alouds.

To ensure all students have a positive experience, we will be teaching your child about our school-wide positive behavior program.  Our ticket program is designed to teach, recognize, and praise the behaviors we want from our students.  Throughout the program, your child is expected to be a “Model Mustang” and abide by all of the school’s expectations.

If you will only be able to send your child for one or two days of the three, we encourage you to please send them.  Even one day can help with the acclimation process.  At the end of the three days we will be creating class lists and you will be notified of who your child’s kindergarten teacher will be.  On the evening of August 19th, you and your child will be invited to attend Kindergarten Orientation where each family will get to meet their child’s new teacher and visit the classroom.

To enroll your child in Kindergarten Camp, please call the office at 570-837-0046 Ext 5002.

If you haven’t registered for kindergarten yet, please do so as soon as possible.

  • Please make sure all kindergarten registration forms have been submitted to your child’s neighborhood school before the start of Kindergarten camp.
  • If you need copies made: Please call the school office and speak with someone to set up a day and time.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.
