Students of the Month

The 8th grade Student of the Month for May is Westin Kuhns. He is the son of Mark and Natalie Kuhns of Middleburg. Westin was chosen as Student of the Month because he is a polite, responsible student who succeeds academically, works well with others, and always does what is asked of him. His school activities include Golf, Bowling, and Baseball. Outside of school, Westin enjoys ATV riding, building and flying drones, snowmobile riding, and skiing. He also likes watching MLB games, especially the Baltimore Orioles games. In the future, he is looking to attend college with an interest in Engineering.

Brogan Plasterer is the 9th grade Student of the Month for May. He is the son of Jon and Mary Plasterer of Beaver Springs. In his free time, Brogan likes to play video games. He particularly likes to investigate different software, like Blender and Unreal Engine. After graduation, he would like to study video game design. Brogan was selected as Student of the Month because he is a diligent and eager to learn student who is taking Biology as a Freshman.

The 10th grade Student of the Month for May is Daniel Cover. He is the son of Lori Cover of Middleburg. Daniel was selected as the Student of the Month because he is a very polite, hard-working student who always completes his homework and asks questions when he is unsure of something. Daniel is a member of the Midd-West Bowling Team. Outside of school he has a variety of interests, including playing video games; listening, singing, dancing, and playing music; in the arts, drawing and painting; and in athletics, running and bowling. Daniel enjoys talking to people, making people laugh, and living life to the fullest. After graduation, Daniel is planning to attend college to become a Zoological Veterinarian and would like to get married, have a family, and live life.

Emma Osborne is the 11th grade Student of the Month for May. She is the daughter of Barry and Jamie Osborne of Richfield. In school, Emma has participated in FFA and School Spirit Club. Her hobbies include taking care of her animals and riding four-wheeler. She especially enjoys hunting with her pap and hanging out with her family. In the future, Emma is planning to attend Bloomsburg University to become a Registered Nurse. She was chosen as Student of the Month because she always participates and volunteers in class. Emma stays on top of her assignments and continually asks meaningful questions. She is a great role model for her peers.

The 12th grade Student of the Month for May is Clayton Ewing. He is the son of Justin and Adele Ewing of McClure. Clayton was chosen as Student of the Month because he is a very cordial and helpful student who continually strives academically. In addition, he helped with the FFA Community Service Project. Clayton’s school activities include FFA and National Honor Society. He also was an Outdoor Education Camp Counselor. In Clayton’s free time, he enjoys collecting and fixing tractors and building plastic models. He has achieved his Eagle Scout Award from Troop 408. Clayton recently was a part of the FFA Small Gas Engines Team that was awarded State Champions. After graduation, Clayton is planning to further his education at University of Pittsburgh Johnstown for Mechanical Engineering.
