While things are definitely going to look very different this year, and unfortunately we will be unable to hold our annual Homecoming dance, Student Council is still planning to host Homecoming Festivities! Our theme this year is “Rewind... Before there was COVID”.

We will be hosting a door decorating competition. Each hallway is assigned a past homecoming theme. Each classroom door will be based on said theme. The assigned hallway themes are as follows:

100: Welcome to the Jungle

200: Candy Land

300: Mardi Gras

400 (offices): Neon/80s

500: Under the Sea

600: Around the World/Travel the World

There will be prizes awarded for the best decorated hallway. Door decorating can begin Monday, October 5th and must be completed by Friday, October 9th for judging. No more than two students per Supervised Study may be decorating at a time and masks will be worn at all times.

Spirit week will begin Tuesday 10/13 and run through Friday 10/16. Students are asked to dress according to each day’s theme. All dress code rules still apply!

Tuesday – Jungle Theme (Wear your animal print!)

Wednesday – Mardi Gras (Wear purple, green, gold and lots of beads!)

Thursday – Around the World Day (Wear your best Tourist gear!)

Friday – 80’s Neon Day! (Big Hair, Banana Clips, Shoulder pads, and Sweatbands!)

We are also planning a school wide “Guess Who” game. We are asking school staff to bring pictures of themselves while in high school, whether it be from prom, homecoming, a sporting event, in a uniform, or just a senior picture! The pictures will be posted around the school and students will play a game to guess the identity of each staff member.

Crowning this year will take place at half-time of the Varsity Boys Soccer game on Saturday, October 17th. *Due to Covid-19, guests will be limited. We are also planning a homecoming procession on Saturday, October 17th prior to the boys’ JV soccer game.
