Due to the closure of schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic during the 2019-2020 school year, any student enrolled in a Keystone eligible course during the 2019-2020 school year, which includes Algebra 1B, Algebra 1, Accelerated Algebra I/II, Biology, and 10th grade English/Language Arts, missed their opportunity to take the assessment. The state requires all students meet a minimum standard on these assessments and if a student does not meet those standards, they must qualify to graduate via other educational avenues. There are several ways to meet this requirement outside of Keystone assessment success, but assessment success is the most direct route.
The Midd-West School District would like to offer all students who missed any of the Keystone assessments last year, 2019-2020, the opportunity to take their missed assessment(s) this December, 2020. All 9th – 11th grade students in the building who were in a Keystone eligible course last year received a form today to bring home. We ask that you fill out the bottom portion of this form and return the entire form to the main office at the high school by Friday, September 11th so that we can prepare for the December assessment. Any Virtual student or MWCA student who was in one of the Keystone eligible courses last year, 2019-2020, may call the school by Friday, September 11th to request registration for the December Keystone. Thank you.
