Welcome to
the Midd-West School District website. Midd-West School District
covers 45 square miles which is approximately one half of Snyder County.
MWSD, a district of 2300 students, operates three elementary schools,
two middle schools and one 9-12 high school. Middleburg Middle
School is a new/5-year old school, and West Snyder Middle School which
was originally a high school building has ample room and facilities not
often found in a middle school. Midd-West High School is located
next to MMS, and it is currently undergoing a total remodel and
construction of new facilities that will render the school 170% larger
than its current size. When completed in 2011, MWHS will
essentially be a |

new school
with the latest in technology and educational facilities.
Approximately 15 minutes away from MWHS is the SUN Area Technology
Institute where MWHS students can study in a wide range of technical
and career programs for one full year of their high school career.
Additionally, Midd-West High School has a vocational agriculture
program which is open to all students whether they want to take elective
courses in this department or carry a heavy course load in this area of
study and graduate with a heavy concentration in this field.
Midd-West
schools provide excellent learning opportunities for all students
including offerings in the arts at all levels, K-12. Our
faculty and staff members make every effort to provide information and
assistance for students and parents/guardians who are moving into our
area. Central Pennsylvania not only boasts beautiful scenery and a
high quality of life, its public schools are ranked near the top of any
national ranking of schools. Midd-West School District is a member
of the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU), a unit of 17 school
districts that provides staff development programs and special student
programs that individual districts cannot provide on their own.
Bucknell University and Susquehanna University are located just a few
miles away, and these universities allow Midd-West students to take
courses there for college credit while still enrolled at MWHS.
Midd-West
School District serves the communities of Beavertown, Beaver Springs,
